Soooo, got a TIVO yesterday.
Holy new millennium.
Who knew?
Well, R did.
He has one. I thought it was way cool, cuz he actually knows how to use the flashy lights and buttons for something other than amusement.
Last night he took me to get one because they were basically FREE after rebate. I dig a good bargain. I feel revolutionized.
We brought it home. Took us forever to get the Direct TV people to get wit da program, but we finally got the signal and then, R showed me how to use it.
He spoke in small words with easy to understand hand gestures. ROFLMAO It was a kinda "look, Bun, Tivo is your friend, honey" sorta thing :)
You can do a whole lotta stuff with this thing. You can have the damn thing record ANYTHING that has your favorite actor in it. Yes, R put in John Cusack as a fave. Ain't he dreamy?
you can go backwards if you've missed a good line in something-- your TIVO can help you. You can record all of your fav's and never have to worry you'll miss it.
I think it cooks dinner and kisses you goodnight if you have the "special" features. LOLLOL
All this for a hundred bucks that I get back cuz it's a rebate and all.
I think I'm in love :)

I wanna Tivo! I had a DVR when we had cable, but their wicked price hikes put the ki-bosh on that little plan....
Now I have DirecTV too, but no TIVO...
And they moved The West Wing into direct competition with Extreme Home Makeover....
the humanity of it all...
Seriously D, enjoy the hell out of it. I did, and one day I will again! Once you TIVO you will nevery go back....
